Biometrics? ...Check

Today we had our fingerprinting appointment for Immigration. It was super simple and quick. We arrived at 7:45am for our 8:00am appointment. We were done and back in the truck by 8:20am. We didn't know how long to expect it to take, but were expecting to possibly have to spend a good part of the day there. So we were quite pleased to be done in 35 minutes. Now we wait for our Immigration approval -the infamous I171H form.

Tomorrow Sean and I begin our first round of immunizations. Sounds fun eh?

  1. Did you do those in Portland? Ours were super quick too in downtown Portland. We did our fingerprints on April 17 and got our I171H on May 7. I hope yours comes quickly!!
Where did you go for immunizations? Is insurance covering yours?

  2. Yep! We went up to Portland for our fingerprint appointment. We're hoping our I171H comes quickly too. I'll be anxiously checking the mail after the 4th of July holiday.
As for our immunizations, we went to our PCP for our basic adult shots and boosters. We're desperately hoping our health insurance will pay for those. Once we get down to the nitty gritty with our travel specific shots, we'll have to go to a local travel clinic. We already know our health insurance won't pay for those. Let us know if you have any travel clinic recommendations for us.
    Thanks!
